RWQCB letter with April 4,2008 deadline for amended Closure/Post Closure <br /> Plan for closure of area on northeast corner of landfill, <br /> 2.Violation T 27 CCR 20921 -Gas Monitoring and Controls -Well# 1 will require relocation because the screened interval is <br /> submersed in H2O.Continuation of violation from last inspection. <br /> a.Install the well in the closest location near the original location that isnot subject to the perched water or <br /> determine the depth of ground water and construct the well with the screen interval above the perched ground water. <br /> -- b.Conduct-a-video investigation into the remaining gasmonitoringprobes toassessthe condition of the probes, -- <br /> c.The EHD received design revision for landfill gas perimeter migration monitoring well GW- IA.The EHD needs to <br /> be present when the site work takes place.Notify the EHD 48 hours in advance of any site work. <br /> d.Failure to respond to this violation may result in further enforcement action. <br /> 3.Violation Title 27 CCR 20750-Site Maintenance-The entire landfill area was covered by overgrown vegetation which had <br /> made it impossible to determine whether the cover was intact and functioning as it should.The overgrown <br /> vegetation could pose a fire hazard especially with summer approaching. <br /> a.Operator should maintain the vegetation at a minimum so that site cover inspection could easily be conducted and to <br /> prevent surface fires from taking place which could cause a threat to public health and safety and the environment. <br /> 4.AC Title 27 CCR 21150-Drainage Control-Abundant vegetation had grown in the perimeter drainage where the half--pipe <br /> corrugated metal drainage was located.It was unclear where this drainage would drain the runoff into.Drainage on <br /> the southeast property boundary,where grading had taken place,did not appear to function as intended. <br /> a.Provide adequate drainage of runoff for the entire site: - <br /> 5.AC Title 27 CCR 20830--Litter-Control-- Surface-debris-observed inthenewly-graded-areas onthe southeasternproperty - -' <br /> boundary. <br /> a.All surface debris should be collected and taken to an approved solid waste facility. <br /> Notes: <br /> INSTRUCTIONS ON BACKA TCIWMB <br /> EXA M P LE 123op White Middle Pink-LEA Bottom-Yellow <br />
