Tier 2 applies numeric screening criteria to existing or newly <br /> collected soil, soil gas and/or groundwater monitoring results to provide greater certainty <br /> to whether or not a VEC exists. The Tier 2 screening involve a Plume Test and Critical <br /> Distance Determination. The Critical Distance Determination requires that the edge <br /> of the plume be known.
