Continuous observation and testing during mass grading and soil treatment <br /> 2. Footing excavation inspection and testing for moisture prior to reinforcing steel <br /> installation. <br /> 3. Continuous inspection of deep foundation excavations. <br /> 4. Continuous utility trench backfill testing under pavement and structures, periodic <br /> elsewhere. <br /> 5. Slab subgrade inspection and testing prior to the placement of capillary moisture break <br /> materials for moisture and relative compaction. <br /> 6. Pavement subgrade preparation inspection and testing for moisture and relative compaction <br /> prior to placement of Class II base. <br /> 7. Class 2 Base inspection and testing prior to the placement of asphalt or concrete pavement. <br /> 8. Asphalt relative compaction testing during pavement placement. (Optional) <br /> 5.12 Plan Review <br /> CTE should review project grading and foundation plans before the start of earthworks to identify <br /> potential conflicts and to verify that the recommendations contained in the report are to be <br /> implemented. <br /> 6.0 LIMITATIONS OF INVESTIGATION <br /> As indicated, the recommendations presented herein are based on the field exploration, laboratory <br /> testing and our geologic and engineering analysis. Following completion of testing, these <br /> recommendations will be confirmed and or modified, if necessary,based on the materials exposed <br /> and re-worked during grading. <br /> The field evaluation, laboratory testing and geotechnical analysis presented in this report have <br /> been conducted according to current engineering practice and the standard of care exercised by <br /> reputable geotechnical consultants performing similar tasks in this area.
