Report Preparation
Following receipt of analytical data, Smith Technology will begin the second phase of work which
includes preparing a brief letter workplan for PHS/EHD's review and approval. The workplan
will contain a brief summary of the results of well installations and a description of the proposed
vapor extraction pilot test and the air sparging pilot test. This task also includes notifying the San
Joaquin Valley Unified Air Pollution Control District (APCD) of the pilot testing, scheduling field
personnel and equipment, and performing any other necessary field preparation and job startup
activities.
PROJECTED SCHEDULE
Once approval of this workplan has been received, Smith Technology will obtain necessary
property access agreements and submit PHS/EHD well installation permits with the associated
fees. It is anticipated that two to three weeks will be needed to complete this documentation.
Once PHS/EHD permits are obtained, drilling activities will be scheduled immediately thereafter
based on availability of the drilling subcontractor.
All work described in this workplan will be performed under the direction of a California
Registered Civil Engineer. A completed site specific safety plan and Smith Technology's Quality
Assurance/Quality Control Plan is on file with PHS/EHD. All field work will be completed in
accordance with these plans.
•
W:\94326\REPORTS\WRKPLN.DOC 5 SN
