AT 7:00 PM <br />THAT SAME DAY, COMPLAINANT STARTED EXPERIENCING DIARRHEA, PAIN IN LOWER BACK AND NAUSEA. ON SATURDAY, WENT TO <br />HOSPITAL AND WAS DIAGNOSED WITH SALMONELLA. ACEVEDO <br />Upon arrival on site, I was able to speak with the store director in regards to the <br />nature of the complaint. The store director stated to have no knowledge of a <br />complaint of this nature being made but insisted I conducted my inspection. The <br />store director stated that all food items are brought from the same distributor <br />except produce which now comes from UNFI distribution. According to the store <br />director, no associates have left due to feeling ill, have claimed of being ill and <br />have not left the state or county to the knowledge of the store director. The hand <br />washing stations in the kitchen are fully stocked and functioning properly. The <br />chorizo that is used for the burrito is made on site in the kitchen and not the same <br />chorizo that is produced by the meat department on site. The food is prepared on <br />site daily, or the night before the day of use, and all food left out on the steam <br />table is no longer stored after the end of the operational day. While on site, <br />observed no tampering or mishandling of the food items or food prepared on site. <br />The prep cooler at the steam table line is currently not operating properly, all <br />potentially hazardous food items were placed into ice baths until repairs can be <br />made. Observed a temperature log being maintained throughout the day and there <br />is a current valid food safety certificate on site at this time. <br />Official inspection report emailed. <br />Official inspection report discussed with Nicholas Berndt, store director.
