Dear Ms. Gardner: On April 17, 1985, this office sent you a letter to advise you that the above-mentioned property is in violation of the Uniform Fire Code Article 4, Section 4.101 and Article 79 Section 79.221, B, C and E which read as follows: Article 4, Section 4.101: Permits are required from the Bureau of Fire Prevention to remove, abandon, place temporarily out of service or otherwise dispose of any flammable or combustible liquid tank. Section 79.221 B: Any tank not used for a period of 90 days shall be properly safeguarded or removed in a manner approved by the chief. C: Tanks "Temporarily Out of Service" shall have the fill line, gage opening and pump connection secured against tampering. Vent lines shall remain open and be maintained in accordance with the requirements of this article for vent lines. . E: Any underground tank which has•been abandoned for a period of one year shall be removed from the ground and the hole properly filled. If circumstances warrant, however, such tank may be abandoned in place and safeguarded in a manner and with material approved by the chief. We also requested that you contact the Local.Health District to'obtain the necessary permits for removal of underground tanks. An inspection of this property revealed that you have not complied with the requirements as stated in this letter. As of this date, we have not had any response from you. Please
