ACRECC also facilitates radio interoperability between ground/air ambulances and <br /> hospital emergency rooms as needed. <br /> 3.5.11 Alameda County Emergency Manager's Association <br /> The purpose of Alameda County Emergency Manager's Association is to recruit a wide range of <br /> emergency managers from public agencies, nonprofits, and the private sector into an <br /> organization/association dedicated to sharing among, contributing to, improving upon, learning <br /> from, and empowering those involved in the field of emergency management. <br /> 3.5.12 California Emergency Services Association <br /> The California Emergency Services Association has the mission of preserving and protecting <br /> property through emergency preparedness and disaster mitigation. The membership is composed <br /> of emergency managers and planners from all levels of government(city, county, State, Federal, <br /> special districts), hospital/medical professionals, education representatives,public service <br /> organizations, business/industry emergency planners and other individuals interested in this field. <br /> California Emergency Services Association is divided into three geographic Chapters-Inland, <br /> Coastal and Southern. Each chapter has regularly scheduled Board meetings and holds <br /> informational seminars and training sessions throughout the year. <br /> 3.6 Private Organizations <br /> The VERG is a private, volunteer organization of individually-licensed amateur radio service <br /> operators who, having passed a written examination, have demonstrated their technical and <br /> operating skills in radio communications and are licensed by the Federal Communications <br /> Commission. <br /> An MOU has been executed between LLNL and the VERG network for LLNL employees who <br /> are members of VERG to support LLNL with communication services during emergency <br /> conditions. Under this MOU, the LLNL ED is authorized to activate the volunteer <br /> communications resources of VERG to provide emergency and disaster communications support <br /> to LLNL. <br /> There are no other private organizations with emergency response or regulatory control <br /> responsibilities relevant to LLNL. <br /> 3.7 Memoranda of Understanding/Memoranda of Agreement <br /> MOUs and MOAs related to onsite emergency response are developed and executed in <br /> accordance with LLNL policies and procedures. These agreements are maintained as part of the <br /> Laboratory's commitment to an emergency management program that is consistent with the State <br /> of California SEMS. <br /> 54 <br />
