All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR"pose an immediate threat to public health <br />and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations (Title 22) section 65545. <br />#10 Disinfectant Residual MAJOR <br />OBSERVATIONS: Free chlorine at 26.Oppm. Maintain between 2-10ppm. Close until corrected. <br />VIOLATION DESCRIPTION: Public pools, when open or in use, shall be disinfected continuously by approved chemicals and shall <br />maintain the following concentrations. 1.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine without cyanuric acid, 2.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine with <br />cyanuric acid or 2.0 ppm bromine. Spas, wading pools, and spray grounds shall maintain the following concentrations: 3.0 ppm to 10.0 <br />ppm free chlorine or 4.0 ppm bromine. (CCR 65529) <br />#15 Operation Records <br />OBSERVATIONS: Maintain log for the chlorine. Start today. <br />VIOLATION DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall test the disinfectant residual, pH, and spa water temperature a minimum of once per day. <br />Cyanuric acid concentration shall be tested once per month if cyanuric acid is used. Combined chlorine shall be tested as often as <br />necessary to maintain the concentration below 0.4 ppm. Pool operator shall maintain written records of all maintenance and test results <br />for at least two years and shall submit those records to the enforcement agency upon request. (CCR 65523) <br />#17 Cleanliness of Pool <br />OBSERVATIONS: Slight build-up at the bottom of the pool. Clean as needed. <br />VIOLATION DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall maintain clean pool water while the pool is in use and shall not allow debris to <br />accumulate in the pool. Pool operator shall clean the bottom, sides, and other surfaces of the pool as often as necessary to keep pool <br />surfaces clean and free of slime and algae. (CCR 65533) <br />#18 Pool Shell and Tile <br />OBSERVATIONS: Pool shell is chipped at steps. Repair prior to next season. <br />VIOLATION DESCRIPTION: Pool shells shall be white and have a smooth waterproof interior finish that will withstand repeated brushing, <br />and scrubbing. A spa pool may be finished in a light color other than white when approved by the enforcement agency.
