All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as"MAJOR"pose an immediate threat to public health <br /> and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations(Title 22)section 65545. <br /> #10 Disinfectant Residual MAJOR <br /> OBSERVATIONS:Chlorine level measured at 17.0. (Corrected on site).Chlorine re-measured at 7.6 ppm.Chlorine level <br /> should remain between 2.0 ppm-10.0 ppm. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Public pools,when open or in use,shall be disinfected continuously by approved chemicals and shall maintain <br /> the following concentrations:1.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine without cyanuric acid,2.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine with cyanuric acid <br /> or 2.0 ppm bromine. Spas,wading pools,and spray grounds shall maintain the following concentrations:3.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free <br /> chlorine or 4.0 ppm bromine. (CCR 65529) <br /> #16 Water Clarity MAJOR <br /> OBSERVATIONS:Water is murky.(Corrected on site). <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Pool operator shall maintain clear pool water while pool is in use or shall close the pool if the bottom of the <br /> pool at the maximum depth is not clearly visible from the deck.(CCR 65527) <br /> #7 Pool Deck <br /> OBSERVATIONS:Observed large chipping of coping on east side of the pool.Repair within 1 week. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:An unobstructed 4-foot wide deck of concrete or like material shall be provided and maintained Flush with the <br /> top of the pool coping. Deck shall extend completely around the pool and shall further extend 4 feet on both sides and to the rear of any <br /> diving board,ADA device,or slide.(CBC 31148)Pool operator shall keep the pool deck well maintained. (CCR 65535) <br /> #8 Pool and Deck Lighting <br /> OBSERVATIONS:Observed 2 pool lights on south end of pool and one pool lights on north end of pool are non-functional. <br /> Repair within 1 week. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Pools used at night shall be equipped with underwater light fixtures that provide complete illumination of the <br /> pool. When a pool is used at night,pool deck and emergency egress areas shall be provided with lighting. If underwater or deck lighting is <br /> not operational,the pool operator shall post a sign in 4-inch letters stating NO USE OF POOL ALLOWED AFTER DARK"and shall <br /> secure the pool area and not permit any use of the pool after dark.
