SOIL SUITABILITY STUDY Introduction Live Oak GeoEnvironmental, Inc. (Live Oak) was contracted by Kevin Swanson to conduct a Soil Suitability Study and Nitrate Loading Study for the property located at 15010 North Glasscock Road, Lodi, California. The Soil Suitability Study and Nitrate Loading Study are combined under this report cover and presented as two sections of this report. The formatting of the report has been designed to follow the recommendations of the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department as described in its Soil Suitability Study Requirements Checklist and Nitrate Loading Study Requirements Checklist. The Soil Suitability Study was conducted to determine whether the soils are suitable for use with a septic system. The study was performed according to the requirements of Section 9-1105.2(d) of the San Joaquin County Development code. Proposed Development The proposed project is the placement of a mobile home on the Site as the manager's residence. Site Description The Site is composed of Assessor's Parcel Number (APN) 025-030-04, 6.44 acres in size. The Site is located at 15010 North Glasscock Road, Lodi (Plate 1). Five storage unit buildings and a domestic well are located on the Site (Plate 2). The elevation of the Site, according to a United States Geological Survey topographic map, is approximately 9 to 10 feet below mean sea level. The Site is relatively flat (Plate 3). According to the San Joaquin County District Viewer (sjmap.org), the Site is zoned C-X, Crossroads Commercial. The San Joaquin County Community Development Department states that this zoning designation "is intended to provide a limited variety of retail and service uses and agriculturally related uses at specific intersections to serve rural residents outside of designated urban and Rural Communities."
