S A N J D AR I N Environmental Health Department <br /> (L)j ;"� 1 y <br /> Small Quantity Hazardous Waste Generator Inspection Report <br /> Facility Name: Facility Address: Date: <br /> THE SPOT SMITH AUTO CARE 540 N HUNTER ST, STOCKTON April 14, 2021 <br /> SUMMARY OF VIOLATIONS <br /> (CLASS I,CLASS II,or MINOR-Notice to Comply) <br /> Item# Remarks <br /> 207 HSC 25144.6(b)Failure to properly manage reusable soiled textile materials. <br /> OBSERVATION: The operator sends reusable soiled shop textiles to a commercial laundry service,Aramark, but <br /> could not provide laundry service receipts. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE: California Health &Safety Code sections 25144.6 and 25143.2(f)(1) <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Provide documentation to demonstrate that the facility reusable soiled shop textiles are <br /> laundered and recycled at a commercial laundry facility regulated under HSC 25144.6. Send copies of the receipts <br /> or other documentation and a corrective action statement to the San Joaquin County Environmental Health <br /> Department within 30 days. <br /> This is a Class II violation. <br /> 403 CCR 66262.34(d)(2) Failed to keep hazardous waste containers closed except when adding or removing hazardous <br /> waste. <br /> OBSERVATION: The following open hazardous waste storage containers were observed on-site: <br /> 3X 55 gallon containers of used oil <br /> 1X 5 gallon container of used oil behind the shop <br /> 1X 20 gallon container of used oil filters, not punctured and included paper filters. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE:A container holding hazardous waste shall always be closed during transfer and <br /> storage, except when it is necessary to add or remove waste. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately close these containers and ensure all hazardous waste containers are closed <br /> when not adding or removing waste. Provide a corrective action statement and supporting documentation to the <br /> San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department within 30 days. <br /> This is a minor violation. <br /> 601 CCR 66262.34(d)Stored hazardous waste onsite greater than 180 days(90 days acute/extremely). <br /> OBSERVATION: The following hazardous waste containers were found on-site with no accumulation start date: <br /> 3X 55 gallon containers of used oil <br /> 5X 5 gallon containers of used oil behind the shop <br /> 1X 20 gallon container of used oil filters, not punctured and included paper filters. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE: Title 22 California Code of Regulations section 66262.34. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately dispose of the hazardous waste stored on site greater than 180 days in <br /> compliance with Title 22 California Code of Regulations.
