All violations must be correctedwithin specified timeframe. Violations that are classed as"MAJOR"pose an immediate threat to public health and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations(Title 22)section 65545. #4 Safety Equipment MAJOR OBSERVATIONS:The life ring lacks a rope. Provide by end of day to prevent closure. Per Miguel, he will go get one right now and call me when obtained. CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Safety equipment shall be provided, maintained, readily visible, and available for use. Pools shall have at minimum one 12 foot fixed-length rescue pole with a permanently attached body hook and one 17-inch life ring with an attached throw rope. Throw rope shall be of sufficient length to span the maximum width of the pool and shall be stored to prevent kinking or fouling. (CCR 65540) OBSERVATIONS:There is a lot of trash/debris in the southwest corner of the pool enclosure. Remove trash and maintain routinely. CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Pool area shall be enclosed by one or more of the following.,a fence,portion of a building, wall, or other approved durable enclosure. Pool enclosure shall be constructed over hard permanent material equivalent to concrete and shall be installed no more than 2 inches above the finished grade. Holes, gaps, or openings in the enclosure shall not allow the passage of a 4-inch diameter sphere. Doors, openable windows, or gates of living quarters shall not be permitted as part of the pool enclosure. (CBC 31198) Pool operator shall keep the pool enclosure well maintained. (CCR 65535) Pool enclosure shall have a minimum effective perpendicularheightof 5 feet and shall be constructed so that it cannot be climbed by small children. Horizontal members shall be spaced at least 48 inches apart. No planters or other climbable structures shall be permitted within 5 feet of the pool enclosure or within a 5-foot am. Chain link openings shall not be larger than 1314 inches when measured horizontally. Pool enclosures with a height of 4 or more feet are allowed if the enclosure was constructed prior to July 1994.(CBC 31198) #5 Restrooms and Showers OBSERVATIONS:The restrooms are open this date. Toilet paper is not available. Provide toilet paper today. The shower lacks a handle. Repair shower to proper function by 1 week. CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Pool operator shall ensure the following facilities are maintained and kept clean:showers, toilets, dressing facilities,drinking fountains,diaper-changing stations, floors, walls,partitions, doors, and lockers. Showers(except outside)shall be provided with soap in dispensers. Toilet facilities shall be provided with toilet tissue,hand soap, and paper towels or hot air blowers in permanently installed dispensers. Pool operator shall provide a minimum of one waste receptacle in each toilet facility. Wooden slats, duckboards and footbaths are prohibited.(CCR 65535, 65551)Showers and lavatories shall be provided with hot and cold water faucets.
