All violations must be correctedwithin specified timeframe. Violations that are classed as"MAJOR"pose an immediate threat to public health <br /> and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations(Title 22)section 65545. <br /> #4 Safety Equipment MAJOR <br /> OBSERVATIONS:The life ring lacks a rope. Provide by end of day to prevent closure. <br /> Per Miguel, he will go get one right now and call me when obtained. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Safety equipment shall be provided, maintained, readily visible, and available for use. Pools shall have at <br /> minimum one 12 foot fixed-length rescue pole with a permanently attached body hook and one 17-inch life ring with an attached throw <br /> rope. Throw rope shall be of sufficient length to span the maximum width of the pool and shall be stored to prevent kinking or fouling. <br /> (CCR 65540) <br /> OBSERVATIONS:There is a lot of trash/debris in the southwest corner of the pool enclosure. Remove trash and maintain <br /> routinely. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Pool area shall be enclosed by one or more of the following.,a fence,portion of a building, wall, or other <br /> approved durable enclosure. Pool enclosure shall be constructed over hard permanent material equivalent to concrete and shall be <br /> installed no more than 2 inches above the finished grade. Holes, gaps, or openings in the enclosure shall not allow the passage of a <br /> 4-inch diameter sphere. Doors, openable windows, or gates of living quarters shall not be permitted as part of the pool enclosure. (CBC <br /> 31198) Pool operator shall keep the pool enclosure well maintained. (CCR 65535) Pool enclosure shall have a minimum effective <br /> perpendicularheightof 5 feet and shall be constructed so that it cannot be climbed by small children. Horizontal members shall be spaced <br /> at least 48 inches apart. No planters or other climbable structures shall be permitted within 5 feet of the pool enclosure or within a 5-foot <br /> am. Chain link openings shall not be larger than 1314 inches when measured horizontally. Pool enclosures with a height of 4 or more feet <br /> are allowed if the enclosure was constructed prior to July 1994.(CBC 31198) <br /> #5 Restrooms and Showers <br /> OBSERVATIONS:The restrooms are open this date. <br /> Toilet paper is not available. Provide toilet paper today. <br /> The shower lacks a handle. Repair shower to proper function by 1 week. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Pool operator shall ensure the following facilities are maintained and kept clean:showers, toilets, dressing <br /> facilities,drinking fountains,diaper-changing stations, floors, walls,partitions, doors, and lockers. Showers(except outside)shall be <br /> provided with soap in dispensers. Toilet facilities shall be provided with toilet tissue,hand soap, and paper towels or hot air blowers in <br /> permanently installed dispensers. Pool operator shall provide a minimum of one waste receptacle in each toilet facility. Wooden slats, <br /> duckboards and footbaths are prohibited.(CCR 65535, 65551)Showers and lavatories shall be provided with hot and cold water faucets. <br /> Maximum water temperature at showers and lavatories shall not exceed 110'17.
