All violations must be corrected wdthin specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR"pose an immediate threat to public health <br />and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations (Title 22) section 65545. <br />#10 Disinfectant Residual - MAJOR <br />OBSERVATIONS: Free chlorine is more than 10 ppm. Provide free chlorine 2-10 ppm today. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Public pools, when open or in use, shall be disinfected continuously by approved chemicals and shall maintain <br />the following concentrations: 1.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine without cyanuric acid, 2.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine with cyanuric acid <br />or 2.0 ppm bromine. Spas, wading pools, and spray grounds shall maintain the following concentrations: 3.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free <br />chlorine or 4.0 ppm bromine. (CCR 65529) <br />#12 pH Level ---- MAJOR <br />OBSERVATIONS: pH is <7. Provide pH 7.2-7.8 today. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION.' Pool operator shall maintain pH between 7.2 and 7.8. (CCR 65530) <br />#9 Ladders and Handrails <br />OBSERVATIONS: Single handrail is loose. Fix today. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: A means of entry and exit shall be provided at both the shallow and deep end of the pool. Ladders and <br />handrails shall be corrosion resistant and shall be rigidly installed. At least one handrail shall extend from the deck to not less than a point <br />above the top of the lowest step. Handrails shall be installed between 28 to 36 inches above the steps and deck. (CBC 31 11 S) Pool <br />operator shall keep ladders and handrails well maintained. (CCR 65535) <br />#15 Operation Records <br />OBSERVATIONS: Log record is not available on site. Maintain log starting from today. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall test the disinfectant residual, pH, and spa water temperature a minimum of once per day. <br />Cyanuric acid concentration shall be tested once per month if cyanuric acid is used. Combined chlorine shall be tested as often as <br />necessary to maintain the concentration below 0.4 ppm. Pool operator shall maintain written records of all maintenance and test results <br />for at least two years and shall submit those records to the enforcement agency upon request.
