Natalia Subbotnikova [EH]
From: Michael Carroll [mcarroll@sjgov.org]
Sent: Wednesday, February 13, 2013 4:44 PM
To: Robert McClellon [EH]
Cc: Joyesh Chandra; Natalia Subbotnikova [EH]; Stephanie Kong; Schneider, Eric A; Vector Engineering,
Inc(fritzler@vectoreng.com)
Subject: Two issues
Hi Robert,
This email is to confirm the content of our phone conversation a few minutes ago. I send this because
these issues could easily impact the cost of future projects, and our misunderstanding could have been
costly for the Corral Hollow bid.
I understand that a C-57 license is not required to drill landfill gas extraction wells. A C-57 license is
needed for groundwater wells, perimeter migration monitoring wells/probes.
Secondly,on the issue of the historic ash residue that we will likely find at Corral Hollow, ash residue
excavated for any reason may not be used at the site, even if placed under the closure cap. Ash residue
that is not excavated may remain, but it must be covered—it cannot remain exposed.
Thanks for clarifying these.
Regards,
Mike
Phone(Direct):209-468-8504
2/14/2013
