All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as"MAJOR"pose an immediate threat to public health <br /> and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations(Title 22)section 65545. <br /> #1 Pool Gates <br /> OBSERVATIONS:West end gate is not self latching/closing. It was locked with plastic ties. It shall be repaired, immediately. <br /> Plastic ties is only a temporary solution to prevent pool from being closed by this dept. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Gates and doors leading into the pool area shall be equipped with self-closing self-latching devices. <br /> Self-latching devices shall be designed to keep the gate or door securely closed. Gates and doors shall open outward from the pool area <br /> except where otherwise prohibited bylaw. (CBC 31198) Pool operator shall keep gates and doors leading into the pool area well <br /> maintained. (CCR 65535) <br /> #5 Restrooms and Showers <br /> OBSERVATIONS: One shower is out of service. The one at the handicap stall lacks running water. All showers shall <br /> properly work by 1 week. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Pool operator shall ensure the following facilities are maintained and kept clean:showers,toilets,dressing <br /> facilities, drinking fountains,diaper-changing stations, floors, walls,partitions, doors, and lockers. Showers(except outside)shall be <br /> provided with soap in dispensers. Toilet facilities shall be provided with toilet tissue, hand soap, and paper towels or hot air blowers in <br /> permanently installed dispensers. Pool operator shall provide a minimum of one waste receptacle in each toilet facility. Wooden slats, <br /> duckboards and footbaths are prohibited. (CCR 65535, 6555 1) Showers and lavatories shall be provided with hot and cold we ter heucets. <br /> Maximum water temperature at showers and lavatories shall not exceed 110"F. (CBC 31168) <br /> #11 Combined Chlorine Concentration <br /> OBSERVATIONS: Pools combined chlorine is too high at 1.4 ppm. Pool shall be shocked so that this level is kept at 0.4 <br /> ppm or lower. Correct by 1 week. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Pool operator shall maintain combined chlorine concentration below 0.4 ppm.(CCR 65530) Chemical quality <br /> of pool water and indoor air quality at the pool site shall not cause adverse physiological effects, such as irritation of the eyes,lungs,or <br /> skin.(CCR 65531) <br /> #22 Skimmer Assembly <br /> OBSERVATIONS: Skimmers for pool and spa lack weir doors. Provide one weir door for each skimmer by 1 week. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Pool shall be equipped to provide continuous skimming of the pool water. All parts of the skimmer shall be <br /> maintained in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
