Washington St.
We are hoping to get this work completed within the very limited time window the drillers now
have available.
I believe they can do 9/15 otherwise this project may drag into October, and this would not be
good for all involved. As a casual reminder, we are pressure grouting a shallow monitoring well
to destroy it in place and will not need more than an hour or so at the location (MW9) 2005 W.
Washington st. It is the final well needed to complete the scope of work for 2040 W. Washington
Street which has been under closure consideration from the Regional Water Quality Control
Board (RWQCB).
If there is any way to expedite the Encroachment permit on this so we can work on 9/15 it would
be deeply appreciated. I have attached a copy of AWA's application and COI for reference.
I have also copied RWQCB and SJ County personnel above for their notification that we are still
trying to complete this work as soon as possible. The well is located very close to a PG&E gas
line, and we will need a variance and/or approval from SJ County for a smaller mushroom cap
after the well is grouted. I have also attached the USA notification regarding the gas line.
7
