Hi Michael, we are moving the ady to Wednesday of next week 10/25. Would still like to do 11 am if
possible.
Regarding the mushroom cap, your SJ County well standards (Section 6.3.6) require a minimum 3
foot deep excavation that is 1 foot greater in diameter than the original borehole, which was 8-inches
(i.e. 20-inches total). We can dig the standard size mushroom cap on all but the south side of the
well casing where the PG&E gas line occurs. Because the PG&E gas line is so close to this well on
the south side, we will need to make the mushroom cap smaller on that side for safety
reasons how much smaller I am not sure until we start digging but am guessing our total
diameter will have to be somewhere between 15 and 20 inches.
Regarding our Encroachment permit, AVVA will be picking up the permit either this week or Monday
next week, and we will be ready to conduct the work mid-morning Wednesday 10/25.
Let me know if you have any other questions, and thanks everybody for your attention.
Dave
On Wed, Oct 18, 2017 at 10:08 AM, Michael Kith [EH] <mkithsicehd.com> wrote:
Hi Dave,
11 AM will be tough.
