Gave me the contact GAITAN <br />information for David Williamson, EHS Manager for Community Fuels. Contacted <br />David asked about the 5-gallons of bio-diesel released. He stated the bio-diesel <br />was released directly on asphalt, stated no water ways or soil were impacted. He <br />pointed out that the spill actually occurred on Friday (11-20-2020) and was <br />cleaned on the same day. I asked why EHD was being notified today, he stated <br />the manager at the time failed to notify the appropriate parties. He stated that the <br />manager would be receiving training and disciplinary action. David stated that he is <br />creating a report and would be sending me photos. Contacted Elena Manzo 'Lead <br />Senior REHSI updater her on complaint. <br />11/23/2020 Received report from David Williamson, EHS Manager for Community Fuels. <br />Reviewed report and sent copy to Elena Manzo !Lead Senior REHSI. Based on <br />review and email from Elena, I contacted David and notified him that I will be <br />coming out there to review the clean up. <br />Met with David, he stated that approximately three 8-gallon bags of absorbent and <br />six absorbent pads were used to clean up the bio-diesel. He stated that half of <br />one 55-gallon container filled with absorbent impacted with bio-diesel was <br />generated from clean up. I observed water on the asphalt, I asked David what the <br />asphalt was wet. He stated that today his crew pressure washed the asphalt in <br />attempt to further remove the bio-diesel stain. Observed spill area and determined <br />spill to be adequately cleaned, no oily sheen or odor were noted. Observed the <br />55-gallon container and hazardous waste label. Operator stated that diesel would <br />be removed on next hazardous waste pick up. <br />GAITAN <br />11/24/2020 Reviewed complaint with Melissa Nissim 'Program Coordinator!. Sent prop 65 to Garrett Backus 'Lead Senior REHSI for review. <br />11/25/2020 Generated notice to abate and sent to David Williamson, EHS manager. GAITAN <br />11/30/2020 Received email from David Williamson, EHS manager for Community Fuels. GAITAN <br />Requested I update mailing address, due to all mailing being consolidated.
