Louise Avenue <br />Lathrop, CA 95330 <br />Environmental Health Department <br />Jasjit Kang, REHS, Director <br />Muni ippa Naidu, REHS, Assistant Director <br />PROGRAM COORDINATORS <br />Robert McClellon, REHS <br />Jeff Carruesco, REHS, RDI <br />Willy Ng, REHS <br />Melissa Nissim, REHS <br />Steven Shih, REHS <br />The San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD) has reviewed the Nitrate Loading (NL) <br />Study, dated April 16, 2021 for the above noted location, and has the following comments for your <br />consideration. <br />The SSNL was prepared to determine the suitability of the above noted parcel for onsite wastewater treatment <br />system (OWTS) usage and the potential long-term impact of nitrate to groundwater for the following proposed <br />three-bedroom second unit dwelling. <br />Based on the information provided, the EHD has the following requirements: <br />a. According to the SSNL, the estimated nitrate loading from existing and proposed OWTS usage is <br />14.8 mg/L as nitrate -nitrogen and the maximum contaminant level of 10 mg. EHD requires the <br />Septic tank to be oversized to 1600 gallon to mitigate the Nitrate (Oakley, 2004) <br />b. Obtain Liquid Waste application and pay the permit fee. The fee will be based on the current <br />schedule at the time of payment. <br />c. Owner of 1245 E.
