PORT OF STOCKTON <br />Phone: (209) 946-0246 Fax: (209) 465-7244 <br /> <br />NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING ON <br /> MAY 0 5 2004 <br />PORT OF STOCKTON PROPOSED oi.MENT HEALTH <br />WEST COMPLEX DEVELOPMENT PLAN <br />AND NOTICE THAT FINAL EIR HAS BEEN COMPLETED <br />Notice is hereby given that the Board of Port Commissioners of the Port of Stockton will hold a <br />public meeting on May 24, 2004 at 3:30 p.m. at 16 Embarcadero, Rough and Ready Island, <br />Stockton, California, on the Port's proposed West Compiex Deve!opment Plan. Due to <br />Homeland Security Regulations, anyone attending the Commission hearing will be required to <br />show a Photo ID at the entrance gate. <br />During the public meeting the Board will consider approval of the proposed West Complex <br />Development Plan and two project-level components of the Plan, dredging of the Stockton Deep <br />Water Ship Channel and the McCloy Avenue, Daggett Road and Daggett Road Bridge Project. <br />The Board will also consider certification of the Final Environmental Impact Report (Final EIR) <br />completed for these proposed actions. <br />The West Complex site is approximately 1,459 acres and located in San Joaquin County on <br />Rough and Ready Island. The island is bounded on all sides by water: the Stockton Deep Water <br />Channel on the north, the Burns Cutoff on the south and west, and the San Joaquin River to the <br />east. <br />The Final EIR, including responses to comments on the Draft EIR, is available for review at the <br />Port of Stockton, Administrative Building, located at 2201 West Washington Street, Stockton, <br />CA 95203. The office is open between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Please contact Rita Koehnen at (209) <br />946-0246 to schedule an appointment to review the Final EIR. In addition a copy of the Final <br />EIR will be available for review in the reference section of the Cesar Chavez Library, 605 North <br />El Dorado Street, Stockton, California. Copies of the Final EIR are available for purchase and <br />copies of the Final EIR in CD ROM format are available at no charge at the Port of Stockton <br />The Board of Port Commissioners will take testimony from members of the public during the <br />May 24, 2004 meeting.
