111.2. Monitoring Well MW-2:
Monitoring Well MW-2 was found in good surface condition without
damage to the surface mount. Blaine Tech surged the casing for about 10
minutes and then removed about 54 gallons of water with a submersible pump.
The water was turbid initially but continued to clear during the pumping. Sand
pumping was minimal. The well pumped down about 8.5 feet and the water level
was rising upon ending redevelopment.
The only repair to this well was to replace the expansion well cap with a
new lock. Photograph 2 depicts Blaine Tech field crew redeveloping MW-2
under the supervision of TRE registered geologist.
Photograph 2- MW-2 is being Redeveloped By Blaine Tech
111.3. Monitoring Well MW-3:
Monitoring Well MW-3 is located in the stormwater retention basin, and is
a casing sticking up in the basin floor. Blaine Tech surged the casing for about 15
minutes and then removed about 15 gallons of water with a submersible pump.
The water was very turbid initially but this well pumped large quantities of sand.
The sand clogged tin pump intake and clogged the lines. The well development
was halted due to this sand pumping and may suggest some problems with the
lower slotted interval, possibly due to flowing conditions during construction that
do not allow sand pack to get completely around the slots. Approximately the
lower two feet of casing appeared filled with sand/sediment upon completion.
6
