The site <br />owner is in the process of <br />preparing a soil remediation <br />plan. The domestic well is <br />screened between <br />approximately 40 feet <br />below ground surface (bgs) <br />and 175 feet bgs. <br />The Stockton Diverting <br />Canal flows into the <br />Calaveras River, <br />approximately 2 miles from <br />the site. The Calaveras <br />River flows into the San <br />Joaquin Delta, approxi- <br />mately 7 miles from the <br />site. No drinking-water <br />intakes are within 15 miles <br />downstream of the site. <br />Well 79-01 is screened <br />between 298 feet and 498 <br />feet bgs. <br />The California Cedar <br />Products facility used <br />solvents in its research <br />facility on site. The exact <br />inventory of the hazardous <br />substances used on site can <br />be obtained from the San <br />Joaquin County, Office of <br />Emergency Services at <br />(209) 468-3962.
