LIMITED PHASE II ENVIRONMENTAL SITE ASSESSMENT <br />UNITED STORAGE <br />2115 WEST WASHINGTON STREET <br />STOCKTON, CALIFORNIA <br />DELTA PROJECT NO. A002-124-1 <br />1.0 INTRODUCTION <br />1.1 Purpose <br />Delta Environmental Consultants, Inc. (Delta) was retained by Westway Terminal Company (Westway) to <br />conduct a Limited Phase II Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) at the United Storage facility located at <br />2115 West Washington Street in Stockton, California (Figure 1). The purpose of the Limited Phase II <br />ESA was to document current environmental conditions at the subject property and assess potential <br />environmental concerns arising from these conditions. <br />The activities described herein were performed in accordance with Delta's scope of work, submitted to <br />Ms. Jane Besch of Westway via electronic mail on September 24, 2002. <br />1.2 Scope of Services <br />The following activities were performed by Delta during the investigation: <br />Conducted public underground utility clearance at the subject property on September 30, 2002; <br />Conducted private utility clearance at the subject property on October 2, 2002; <br />Advanced ten soil borings (B-1 through B-10) at the subject property on September 30 and <br />October 2, 2002; <br />Submitted one discrete soil sample from each soil boring to a fixed-base laboratory for chemical <br />analyses for volatile organic compounds (VOCs), total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline <br />(TPH-G), total petroleum hydrocarbons as diesel (TPH-D), and Resource, Conservation, and <br />Recovery (RCRA) 8 metals; <br />Submitted ground water samples from five of the boreholes to a fixed-base laboratory for <br />chemical analyses for VOCs, TPH-G, and TPH-D; and <br />Compiled and evaluated geologic, hydrogeologic, and analytical data and prepared this Limited <br />Phase II ESA report. <br />The scope of work performed during this project was based on the results of the Phase I Environmental <br />Assessment Summary (EAS) prepared by ARCADIS Geraghty & Miller International, Inc. (ARCADIS <br />G&M) and dated May 1, 2002 (Appendix A). <br />2.0 SUBJECT PROPERTY DESCRIPTION <br />The subject property is located at 2115 West Washington Street in Stockton, California.
