SOIL SAMPLING PROCEDURES <br />Soil borings will be sampled at specified depths using a 1.5-inch Geoprobe soil sampling assembly <br />loaded with four six-inch brass sleeves. Upon sample retrieval, the ends of the second sleeve will <br />be covered with Teflon sheets, capped and sealed with tape. Each sample sleeve will be labeled with <br />the boring designation, time, date and sampler's initials. Appropriately sealed and labeled samples <br />will be placed in a chilled container under ice and transported under chain of custody procedure to <br />a DHS-certified laboratory. <br />4.3. EQUIPMENT DECONTAMINATION <br />Prior to use, all sampling tools used for sample collection will be thoroughly rinsed with clean water <br />after being washed with a solution of Alconox and water. <br />4.4. BORING ABANDONMENT <br />Each boring, if required, will be backfilled with cement grout to form a seal to 2 feet below surface <br />grade and covered with native soil to surface grade. <br />Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc.
