2: Key BC Project Personnel and Responsibilities Health and Safety Plan <br />Do not use hands to wipe sweat away from face. Use a clean towel or paper towels. <br />Practice contamination avoidance whenever possible. <br />Do not smoke, eat, drink, or apply cosmetics while in chemically-affected areas of the site or <br />before proper decontamination. <br />Wash hands, face and arms before taking rest and lunch breaks and before leaving the site and <br />the end of the workday. <br />Check in and out with the SSO upon arrival and departure from the site. <br />Perform decontamination procedures as specified in this HASP. <br />Notify the SSO immediately if there is an incident that causes an injury, illness or property <br />loss. Incidents that could have resulted in injury, illness or property loss (close call) will also <br />be reported to the SSO. <br />Do no approach or enter an area where a hazardous environment (i.e., oxygen deficiency, <br />toxic or explosive) may exist without employing necessary engineering controls, proper PPE <br />and appropriate support personnel. <br />Use respirators correctly and as required for the Site; check the fit of the respirator with a <br />negative or positive pressure test; do not wear respirator with facial hair or other conditions <br />that prevent a face-to-facepiece seal; do not wear contact lenses when the use of a respirator is <br />required. <br />Confined spaces will not be entered without appropriate evaluation, equipment, training and <br />support personnel. <br />2.5 Subcontractors <br />Subcontractor personnel are expected to comply fully with subcontractor's HASP and to observe <br />the minimum safety guidelines applicable to their activities which may be identified in the BC HASP. <br />Failure to do so may result in the removal of the subcontractor or any of the subcontractor's <br />workers from the job site. <br />ROW. min CALDWELL <br />2-3
