Hazelton Avenue
Stockton, California 95201
Re: Gas monitoring for Harney Lane Landfill
Dear Mr. Karam:
This letter presents the results of landfill gas monitoring performed by
EMCON Associates (EMCON) at the Harney Lane Landfill in February and
March 1992. The covered work tasks include monitoring 12 gas wells
along the site property line, collecting and analyzing 3 gas well samples,
and monitoring on-site and off-site structures. The procedures used
during the various types of monitoring are summarized below.
PROCEDURES
EMCON performed two monthly monitoring events for the gas monitoring
wells. The following procedure was used for monitoring each gas well, in
compliance with the California Code of Regulations, Title 14,
Section 17783, "Landfill Gas Monitoring During Closure and Postclosure."
Gas probe pressures were measured first, using an Air-Neotronicso
Pocket Digital Micromanometer model 205 (PDM-205). The PDM-205 has
two measurement ranges, 0 to 20 inches water column (in. w.c.) and 0 to
40 in. w.c., and a minimum resolution of 0.01 in. w.c.
PJ9 9390109.EOW
1921 Ringwood Avenue.
