Please review the attached code section and this statement from the contractor regarding the licensing requirements
for this project:
"This is from title 23 section 2715 of the state water resource control board who come up with the rules and regulations
for the monitoring of the underground tanks. Section (g) and (h) have been described to me by inspectors as a
contractor installing a new tank system like installing a new underground tank, associated piping and dispensers which
would make sense that that would require a contractors license. This section does apply to me as I do not do that type
of work. Almost all inspectors agree that section (i) relates to the work I do as as service contractor including replacing
similar or like for like equipment, for example a sensor or drain valve or even a new overfill valve, replacing equipment
not installing equipment like it mentions in section (h). In this section you see I highlighted the part where it says that a
tank tester license satisfies the requirements of the section listing requirements for doing the work of a service
technician."
Please let me know if this works for you. If you need any more information, just let me know.
Thank you.
Steven Nelson I Project Coordinator
Office: 425-251-6222 1 Ext: 7372
Barghausen Consulting Engineers, Inc.
1821572 nd Avenue South, Kent WA 98032
www.barghausen.com
From: Florido, Elianna [EHD] <eflorido@sigov.org>
Sent: Wednesday, November 17, 202111:31 AM
To: Steven Nelson <snelson@barghausen.com>
Cc: Jay Grubb <igrubb@barghausen.com>; Omar Vasquez <ovasquez@barehausen.com>; Alexia Inigues
<ainigues@barghausen.com>; Chealsea Biggs <cbiggs@barghausen.com>
Subject: RE: Costco 1031 Manteca, CA - OPE Replacement / CUPA Submittal - BCE #12919.5
Hi Steven,
I reviewed the retrofit application for 2440 Daniels St, Manteca (SR0084430).
