Violations that are classified as"MAJOR"pose an immediate threat to public health <br /> and must be corrected immediately at be subject to closurs pursuant to California Code of Regulations(Title 22)section 65545. <br /> #4 Safety Equipment MAJOR <br /> OBSERVATIONS:Hook not attached to one pole, and other hook cut off half way. Immediately provide hook attached to <br /> pole. This is a repeat violation Corrected on site by attaching hook to pole with bolt and nuts. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Safety equipment shall be provided, maintained,readily visible,and available for use. Pools shall have at <br /> minimum one f2 foot fixed-length rescue pole with a permanently attached body hook and one 17-inch life ring with an attached throw <br /> rope. Throw rope shall be of sufficient length to span the maximum width of the pool and shall be stored to prevent kinking or fouling. <br /> (CCR 65540) <br /> #10 Disinfectant Residual MAJOR'; <br /> OBSERVATIONS:1.4 free chlorine. Provide 2 to 10 ppm. This is a repeat violation. Observed 1.5 qt. of 10% liquid <br /> chlorine disseminated to estimated 16,000 gallon pool (takes 12.8 fl oz to bring up 1 ppm for 10,000 gallon, and 1.6 pt. for <br /> 20,000 gallon pool). Corrected. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Public pools, when open or in use,shall be disinfected continuously by approved chemicals and shall maintain <br /> the following concentrations: 1.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine without cyanuric acid, 2.0 ppm to 90.0 ppm free chlorine with cyanuric acid <br /> or 2.0 ppm bromine. Spas, wading pools,and spray grounds shall maintain the following concentrations:3.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free <br /> chlorine or 4.0 ppm bromine.
