Made up DST tools , RIH and set packers with top packer element at 2848 ' , bottom packer element at 2857 ' and tail to TD at 2882 ' . Opened tool at 1026 hrs ; moderate blow diminish- ing to very light blow at 1128 hrs when tool was closed . Shut in 30 minutes , then POH, collecting samples . Fluid rise = 2812 ' . TDS of last sample = 9300 ppm . LD test tools . Made up drilling BHA , RIH , and drilled to 3397 ' . 3/8/90 Drilled to 3612 ' , ran directional survey , drilled to 4043 ' , surveyed , and tripped for bit . Drilled to 4573 ' . 3/9/90 Ran directional survey at 4569 ' . Drilled to 4820 ' (TD) circulat- ed and PUH for DST #4 . Made up DST tools , RIH, set packers with top packer element at 4720 ' , bottom packer element at 4730 ' and tail to TD at 4820 ' . Opened tool at 1709 hrs ; strong blow , diminishing to 2 psi on bubble hose when tool was closed at 1739 hrs . Shut in 30 minutes , then tried to pull loose . Tools were stuck . Worked pipe and jarred - no success . Actuated lower safety joint to free packers from tail , but packers were still stuck: . Dropped bar to open circulating port and reverse circu- lated water out of drillpipe, collecting samples . Lowermost sample had TDS = ppm . Continued pulling and jarring on DST packers . 3/10/90 Continued jarring for 1S hours . RU Dia-Log, ran collar locator and string shot and backed off drillpipe at 4624 ' at top of drill collar . POH . Made up BHA and RIH to top of fish. 3/11/90 Circulated hole clear and POH. Made up 8 3/4" OD washover shoe and 7-7/8" OD x 6-S/8" ID washpipe and RIH to top of fish . Washed over fish to 4721 ' , POH, made up fishing tools , RIH and screwed into fish . Jarred on fish 3-1/2 hours - no success . RU Dia-Log for backoff shot .
