Description of Applicant's Operation <br /> Golden Gate Fresh Foods, Inc. is applying for an Under- <br /> ground Injection Control (UIC) permit to construct a Class <br /> I injection well for the disposal of non-hazardous <br /> pretreated process waste water generated by the onsite meat <br /> processing plant and mixed with extracted groundwater. Up <br /> to 252 ,000 gallons per day of water is proposed to be in- <br /> jected at the site located along North Highway 99 Frontage <br /> Road, Lodi, California (between Woodbridge Road & <br /> Clarksdale Road) in San Joaquin County. <br /> Following the study of several alternative disposal <br /> methods, the applicant concluded that an injection well was <br /> the preferred alternative for long-term disposal. <br /> The injection facility will operate for a period of ten <br /> years. <br /> 1 <br />
