Highway 99 Frontage Road
Lodi,California 95240
T 4 N, R 7 E, Section 31 NE 1/4
San Joaquin County
As proposed, the draft permit would allow the facility the
use of the injection well, identified as Deep Injection Well #1,
for disposal of non-hazardous process waste water and extracted
ground water. Prior to November 1988, the process waste water
was discharged into unlined adjacent ponds at the facility. Currently,
extracted ground water is diluted and discharged to the Mokelumne
river to stop the migration of the plume. The processed waste
water continues to be discharged to the ponds. This operation
must cease by March 1, 1990 a's per Central Valley Regional Water
Quality Control Board, Cease and Desist Order No. 88-191.
