Water Samples
Table 6 summarizes the results of the laboratory analyses performed on the water samples collected from
the temporary well screens installed in the exploratory borings (B-2 through B-9)and the water sample
collected from monitoring well MW-1. The formal laboratory reports and chain-of-custody records are
presented in Appendix B.
Petroleum hydrocarbons were detected in all of the water samples collected except borings B-6 and B-8
(located to the south and west of the former reboiler unit). The petroleum hydrocarbons noted in these
samples consist primarily of kerosene-range hydrocarbons and were reported at concentrations up to
47,000 pg/L(MW-1). TPH-G and BTEX levels were highest in the water samples collected from borings
B-2, B-3 and B4.
cca/08/18/93/9449arpt.doc/mkn4 6-6
