The monitoring wells and two of the <br /> proposed soil borings are located on San Joaquin County Assessor Parcel Number(APN) <br /> 255-180-09. The other two proposed soil borings are located within the Highway 33 <br /> right-of-way(ROW). <br /> Benham-SAIC plans to install four, 3-inch diameter temporary Geoprobe soil borings to <br /> a depth of approximately 50 feet below ground surface (bgs). Soil and groundwater <br /> samples will be collected from the borings. Destruction of the borings will be in <br /> accordance with San Joaquin County guidelines. The three groundwater wells proposed <br /> for destruction will be over-drilled with 8.75 inch-diameter hollow stem augers to the <br /> total completed depth of approximately 45 feet bgs and backfilled with Portland cement <br /> in accordance with San Joaquin County guidelines. The actual depth will be confirmed in <br /> the field prior to drilling. <br /> Two drillers have been selected to complete the scope of work. The driller for the <br /> monitoring well destructions is WDC Exploration Exploration and Wells, C57 #283-326. <br /> The driller for the soil boring installations is PeneCore Drilling, C57 #906-899. The <br /> Licensed Contractor's Declarations are included with the applications. Benham-SAIC <br /> requests that the approved permits be sent to Sean Gehlke, at Benham-SAIC, 1000 <br /> Broadway, Suite 675, Oakland, CA 94607. <br /> Once the permits are approved,Benham-SAIC will notify San Joaquin County at least 48- <br /> hours prior to beginning field work.
