Wilson Way SITE CODE 91911
Stockton, Ca
This letter is being sent to appraise you of the activities that recently took place concerning the above
mentioned site. San Joaquin County Public Health Services, Environmental Health Division (PHS/EHD)
was present at the site on Tuesday,January 19, 1993 to observe the drilling of the confirmation soil boring.
The methods used to obtain, handle and store the soil samples were in accordance with the guidelines
established for underground tank investigations. PHS/EHD was also present for the final destruction of
the soil boring.
No visual or olfactory evidence of contamination was noted by PHS/EHD staff during the dulling of the
soil boring. The 20 foot and 35 foot soil samples will be submitted to a certified laboratory to establish
and verify representative soil conditions.
The soil boring was originally tentatively scheduled for Friday,January 15, 1993, pending the completion
of work at another site in San Joaquin County. The completion of the work at the previous site and the
date and time of the start of the work at this site was not confirmed with PHS/EHD. 'This was a
communication error between the consulting and drilling firms and PHS/EHD staff. Mr.Joe Bryson was
not responsible for scheduling the drilling of the soil boring or for confirming the appointment with
PHS/EHD.
If you have any questions, please contact Linda Turkatte,REHS,of my staff at (209) 468-0339.
Jogi Khanna, , M.P.H.
Health O er
ce:lt/Lt.P r
une A Cotulla,REHS, Program Manager
Environmental Health Division
LACJIt
c- CVRWQCB-Beth Thayer
c: SJC Board of Supervisors-Doug Wilhoit
 Joe Bryson
/C: Kleinfelder-Dana Booth
