I told Tim he needs to follow the protocol for reporting release to EHD main number(209)468-3420. Time Called EHD and reported the incident. EHD also received Cal OES spill report(CNTRL#:20-4708). The reporting party stated" The cause of the release is damage on the truck. The release impacted storm drain that goes to a retention pond on site." At 2:40pm I called Tim after notifying EHD. I was told the spill occurred at 6:15am and forgot to report the spill early this morning. Time approximated the release to be between 25-50 gallons. The release affected the ground and storm drain nearby. Tim believes the retention pond is almost empty. The release did not leave the site. Nick Vaccari(707-301-1293)with Ponder Environmental arrived on site at 11:30am to conduct the clean-up. Clean-up will include cleaning of the impacted concrete and hydro-jetting the storm drain. There is a waste tank on site for collecting the contaminated water. Waste drums might be kept on site for short period. At 3pm Rayan Rodriguez with Fish &Wildlife called to ask about the spill. I informed him of the information received and told him will be on site later tonight to inspect. Ryan will call back later to obtain more information. At 3:50pm I called Nick with Ponder Environmental and Nick told me that they expected to be done within 2.5-3 hours. They finished cleaning up the ground and they are working on the storm drain now. I asked if the storm drain leads to Oil Water Separator and Nick told me there is no oil water separator that he is aware of. .
