For future reference we
have created files and listed each parcel on the contaminated site list according to the
parcel address listed in the assessors office file.
They are as follows:
ADDRESS APN # SITE CODE
' 448 W. Weber St., Stockton 137-260-05 9038
504 W. Weber St., Stockton 137-370-03 9300
666 W. Weber St., Stockton 137-370-02 9301
17 S. Lincoln St., Stockton 137-370-04 9302
You have stated to PHS/EHD staff that the City of Stockton is trying to identify the
responsible parties for the contamination at these sites so they will proceed with further
investigation and remediation. Please be advised that in the interim the existing
monitoring wells are to be inspected by the City on a routine basis to ensure they are in
good condition.
The reports state that some of the parcels had underground storage tanks (UST).
PHS/EHD would be the lead agency for oversight of the investigation and remediation of
any sites where the contamination was caused by a UST. The Central Valley Regional
Water Quality Control Board would be the lead agency for oversight of the sites where
contamination is from a source other than a UST. However, PHS/EHD would be
responsible for the permitting of any borings or monitoring wells installed at these sites.
In addition, upon request, PHS/EHD may provide regulatory oversight if the CVRWQCB
is unable to perform this function due to staffing limitations.
