Sivell <br /> City of Stockton <br /> Community Development Department <br /> City Hall <br /> 425 North El Dorado Street <br /> Stockton, California 95202-1997 <br /> Subject: Executive Summary of Work Plan for Evaluation of Hydrocarbons in Soil and <br /> Ground Water at the City of Stockton's Waterfront Redevelopment Property, <br /> West Weber Avenue and North Lincoln Street, Stockton California. <br /> Mr. Sivell: <br /> At the request of the City of Stockton Redevelopment Agency, Applied GeoSystems has <br /> prepared this Work Plan to evaluate the extent of hydrocarbons in soil and ground water <br /> beneath the three parcels forming the City of Stockton's Waterfront Redevelopment <br /> Property and to assess areas we previously detected hydrocarbon vapors or have not <br /> previously investigated. The parcels are on the southwest and southeast corners of West <br /> Weber Avenue and North Lincoln Street in Stockton, California. The parcels are currently <br /> vacant but have previously been used by Union Oil Company of California, Morton Paint, <br /> and several individuals. <br /> Specific tasks associated with this investigation include drilling nine soil borings and <br /> collecting soil samples; constructing four 2-inch-inner-diameter ground-water monitoring <br /> wells; developing the wells and collecting ground water samples; analyzing selected soil and <br /> ground-water samples; evaluating the ground-water flow direction and gradient across the <br /> site; and preparing a Problem Assessment Report documenting our procedures, <br /> methodology, results of analyses, and, if necessary, recommendations for further work. <br />
