Mr. Sivell: At the request of the City of Stockton Redevelopment Agency, Applied GeoSystems has prepared this Work Plan for a subsurface environmental investigation at three parcels forming the City of Stockton' s Waterfront Redevelopment Property. The parcels are on the southwest and southeast corners of West Weber Avenue and North Lincoln Street in Stockton, California. Information supplied to Applied GeoSystems by the City of Stockton Redevelopment Agency and a brief site visit indicates that the parcels are vacant but have previously been used by Union Oil Company of California, Morton Paint, and several individuals. Specific tasks associated with the proposed investigation include conducting a soil-vapor survey; interpreting the information acquired from the soil-vapor survey to select soil boring and ground-water monitoring well locations; drilling three soil borings; constructing 2-inch-inner-diameter ground-water monitoring wells in the borings; developing the wells and collecting ground water samples; analyzing selected soil and ground-water samples; evaluating the ground-water gradient across the site; and preparing a report documenting our procedures, methodology, results of analyses, and, if necessary, recommendations for further work.
