May 31, 1989 <br /> AGS 39048-1S <br /> SITE SAFETY PLAN <br /> SUBSURFACE ENVIRONMENTAL INVESTIGATION <br /> City of Stockton <br /> Waterfront Redevelopment Property <br /> West Weber Avenue and North Lincoln Street <br /> Stockton, California <br /> INTRODUCTION <br /> This Site Safety Plan delineates the basic safety requirements <br /> for the subsurface environmental investigation project at the <br /> City of Stockton's Waterfront Redevelopment Property, located at <br /> West Weber Avenue and North Lincoln Street, Stockton, California. <br /> The provisions set forth in this Plan will apply to the employees <br /> of Applied GeoSystems and its subcontractors working on this <br /> phase of the project. The subcontractors may elect to modify <br /> these provisions, but only to upgrade or increase the safety <br /> requirements, and only with the concurrence of Applied <br /> GeoSystems, as designated and accepted in writing. <br /> This Site Safety Plan will address the expected potential hazards <br /> that may be encountered for this project. Field activities are <br /> planned to begin within two weeks after approval from the San <br /> Joaquin Local Health District, with the duration estimated at <br /> approximately 1 day after the start date. If changes in site or <br /> working conditions occur as the activities progress, addenda to <br /> this plan will be provided by Applied GeoSystems. <br /> AUTHORITY FOR SITE SAFETY <br /> Applied GeoSystems personnel responsible for the project safety <br /> are the Project Manager and the Staff Geologist. The Health and <br /> Safety Coordinator is responsible for the overall Health and <br /> Safety Program of Applied GeoSystems and may choose to audit any <br /> site for compliance and take appropriate action to correct <br /> deficiencies. The Project Manager is responsible for <br /> implementing the provisions of this Plan and providing a copy of <br /> this Plan to the Staff Geologist and advising the Project Staff <br /> Geologist on health and safety matters. The Project Manager and <br /> Staff Geologist have the authority to audit site activities for <br /> compliance with the provisions of this Plan and may suspend or <br />
