L & M OPERABLE UNIT-THIRD QUARTER 2014 SITE STATUS, REMEDIAL SUMMARY,
AND GROUNDWATER MONITORING REPORT
Groundwater Monitoring and Sampling
October 31, 2014
Analyte Sample # Sample # o Difference
MW-58 QCDUP-4
TPH (mg/L <0.05 <0.05 Oho
TPHd (mg/L <0.05 0.069 +/- 31.917o
TPHo (mg/L <0.05 <0.05 0%
Benzene <0.0005 <0.0005 Oho
m /L
MTBE (mg/L <0.0005 <0.0005 Oho
TBA (mg/L <0.005 <0.005 Oho
The calculated RPD between sample MW-24 and QCDUP-2 were within the acceptable
limit (200). The calculated RPD between sample MW-58 and QCDUP-4 were within the
acceptable limit, with the exception of TPHd which was at 31 .9%. The TPHd
concentration is consistent with historical concentrations for the Site; thus, the reported
values of TPHd can be considered representative.
2.4.2.5 General Laboratory Notes
The laboratory validation notes are consistent with the B-Zone quality assurance and
quality control. Each set of issues corresponds directly with the denoted report. All
laboratory reports are included in Appendix E.
Laboratory Validation, report number 88688:
There was no observed validation issues with B-Zone monitoring wells.
2.5 THIRD QUARTER 2014 C-ZONE GROUNDWATER RESULTS
2.5.1 C-Zone Groundwater Gradient Data
C-Zone groundwater elevations at the Site ranged from 6.86 ft below MSL (MW-54) to
6.31 below MSL (MW-66; Table 3, Table 4, and Figure 17). Groundwater gradient during
3Q14 in the C-Zone appears radially inward towards well MW-54 at 0.001 ft/ft (Figure
17). Historic groundwater flow direction and gradient data is summarized on Table 6.
Vertical gradient data is summarized on Table 7.
2.5.2 C-Zone Groundwater Analytical Data
During 3Q14, groundwater samples were collected from eight C-Zone wells.
Groundwater analytical results are summarized below and included on Table 3. TPHg,
TPHd, TPHo, benzene, MTBE, and TBA isoconcentration contour maps are included as
Figure 18 through Figure 23, respectively. The certified laboratory analytical reports
including laboratory validation sheets are included in Appendix E.
5ta ntec 2.9
