According to the SSNL, the estimated nitrate loading from existing and proposed OWTS usage is
18.73 mg/L as nitrate-nitrogen and the maximum contaminant level of 10 mg/L-N. EHD will require
the mitigation of nitrate-nitrogen through an engineered Onsite Wastewater Treatment System.
b. Percolation test conducted on March 23, 2021 yield percolation rate of 4.38 min/inch. At this rate,
a 20' soil separation is required between bottom of dispersal field and groundwater. Groundwater
at site is 20-30' below ground surface. (San Joaquin County OWTS Standard Section 1.10.2).
c. A Registered Civil Engineer shall submit complete engineering design plan to EHD for approval
prior to issuance of building permit. The engineer plan shall mitigate above-mentioned concerns.
Fee will be based on the current fee schedule at time of payment.
If you have any questions please contact Naseem Ahmed, Senior Registered Environmental Health
Specialist, at nahmed@sjgov.org or (209) 616-3018.
Steven Shih, REHS
Program Coordinator
c: AdvancedGeo
1868 E.
