During purging, the discharge will be monitored for specific conductivity,
temperature, and pH. Purging will continue until the parameters have stabilized as follows:
Parameter Limits
pH f 0.1 Standard Units
Specific Conductance ± 10%
Temperature f 1.0°Fahrenheit
Field parameters will be recorded on field sampling data forms. Once the parameters have
stabilized, the groundwater samples will be collected using a peristaltic pump set at a flow
rate of less than 40 milliliters per minute.
Each sample will be placed in laboratory supplied bottle and labeled. The sample bottles will
be filled in the following order: (1) volatile organic compound ("VOC") sample, including
total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline ("TPHg"), (2) total petroleum hydrocarbons as
diesel ("TPHd") sample, (3) oil and grease, and (4) other constituents. The filled sample
containers will be placed on ice. The VOC sample vials will contain a preservative supplied
William DePaoli Property 7 of 15
Sampling and Analysis Plan
June 2009
