This report was prepared to comply with current Waste Discharge Requirements
Order No. 96-139.
All concentrations of quarterly monitoring and field parameters are below established concentration
limits except for pH in MW-1 and Electrical Conductivity (EC)in MW-3. At both wells, no other
monitoring or field parameters indicate of impact and VOCs to groundwater. Therefore, the County does
not believe the groundwater in the vicinity of these wells(MW-1 and MW-3)has been impacted by a
release from the landfill. The County will monitor the levels of pH in MW-1 and EC in MW-3 closely to
ensure groundwater quality is not compromised.
Several Volatile Organic Compounds(VOCs)were detected in groundwater samples collected from
MW-2. Well MW-2 is an impacted well. Groundwater quality in the vicinity of MW-2 is evaluated
based on the presence/absence of statistically significant trends. Analytical results show no statistically
increasing trend in any monitoring and field parameters, meeting the Water Quality Protection Standards.
The County expects to see a continuous improvement of groundwater quality in the vicinity of MW-2.
If you have any questions, please call me at(209)468-3066.
Sincerely,
W.
