A 55 gallon grey steel drum of <br />used oil filters was observed with an accumulation start date of <br />8/16/2011. Facilities that generate up to one ton of used oil filters <br />per year may store the filters up to one year. Facilities that <br />generate one ton or more of used oil filters may store the filters for <br />up to 180 days. Immediately recycle these filters under a bill of <br />lading and submit a copy of the bill of lading to the EHD. A 55 gallon <br />gray steel drum was observed with an unsealed lid. Used oil filters <br />were beings stored in an open, unlabeled plastic jug on site. Used oil <br />filters shall be drained of free-flowing oil, stored in a closed, <br />rainproof container, labeled as G drained used oil filters,G and <br />marked with an accumulation start date. The following open drums were <br />observed in the hazardous waste storage area: -One 55 gallon black <br />steel drum of used oil was observed with an open bunghole and punched <br />hole in the top -Two 55 gallon blue drums of oily water and sludge All <br />hazardous waste containers shall be closed at all times except when <br />adding or removing waste.
