Facilities who generate less <br />than 1000 kg of hazardous waste per month and do not exceed 6000 kg of <br />waste stored on site at any time may store waste on site up to 180 <br />days. The following were observed on site with no accumulation start <br />date: -A 55 gallon blue steel drum of hazardous waste solids outside <br />the shed -The used antifreeze tank, with an open fill hole, containing <br />liquid Since it cannot be determined how long the hazardous waste has <br />been on site, immediately contact a licensed hazardous waste hauler to <br />dispose of this waste under manifest. The integrity testing <br />certificates on site were for the following: -350 gallon 15W40 -275 <br />gallon Donax TD fluid -275 gallon engine oil (out of service) -598 <br />gallon oil 46 These tanks did not fully match the inventory on site <br />and did not include the 1,000 gallon used oil tank or the 10,000 <br />gallon diesel tank. Each aboveground container shall be tested and <br />inspected for integrity on a regular schedule and whenever repairs are <br />made. The qualifications of personnel performing tests and <br />inspections, frequency and type of testing and inspections that take <br />into account container size, configuration, and design shall be <br />determined in accordance with industry standards. Examples of these <br />integrity tests include, but are not limited to: visual inspection, <br />hydrostatic testing, radiographic testing, ultrasonic testing, <br />acoustic emissions testing, or other systems of non-destructive <br />testing.
