An Environmental Site Assessment was
conducted at the site by the current property owner in March 2002.
Results from the laboratory analysis of soil samples reported
petroleum hydrocarbon impact to the soil near the former dispenser
island area. Further site assessment was conducted by the property
owner in November 2005; two soil borings were drilled to collect grab
groundwater samples for analysis. The samples had reported detections
of 1,2-dichloroethane at significant concentrations. The property
owner had one groundwater monitoring well installed near the
dispenser island area in August 2006. The well was sampled and
reported to contain petroleum hydrocarbon contamination including
1,2-dichloroethane. The current property owner is not eligible for
the UST Cleanup Fund because they never owned/operated underground
storage tanks at the site. In February 2007 Chevron Environmental
Management Company, on behalf of Texaco, is named as a responsible
party to this site as the last documented owner/operator of the
underground storage tanks. Chevron had four additional groundwater
monitoring wells and two soil borings installed in June 2008. The
site is not defined; two additional groundwater monitoring wells were
installed in Nov. 2009, one shallow, one deep, both are impacted.
LUST:
Global Id:
T0607799504
Contact Type:
Regional Board Caseworker
Contact Name:
Alan Buehler
Organization Name:
CENTRAL VALLEY RWQCB (REGION 5S)
Address:
11020 SUN CENTER DRIVE #200
City:
RANCHO CORDOVA
Email:
alan.buehler@waterboards.ca.gov
Phone Number:
Not reported
LUST:
Global Id:
T0607799504
Action Type:
ENFORCEMENT
Date:
10/31/2008
Action:
Staff Letter - #10/31/2008
TC6327721.2s Page 419
