k" K L E I N F F L D E R
5.2 GROUNDWATER SAMPLING RESULTS
Three (3) groundwater samples were collected from monitoring wells MW -1, MW -2, and MW -3,
located downgradient and north of the showroom, upgradient and southeast of the service garage,
and downgradient and west of the showroom, respectively (Plate 2). Table 3 summarizes the
groundwater analytical results.
TABLE 3
SUMMARY OF GROUNDWATER ANALYTICAL RESULTS
MCL = Maximum Contaminant Level per 22 CCR
mg/L = milligrams per liter
ug/L = micrograms per liter
ND = analyte not detected above the laboratory reporting limit
NA = not applicable, no MCL established
5.2.1 Groundwater Flow Direction and Gradient
The groundwater monitoring wells were surveyed for elevation and location on the Tradeway
Chevrolet site. The tops of the monitoring well PVC casings were chosen as the measuring point
for the survey as they are also the measuring point during sampling. The groundwater flow
direction and gradient was calculated using the surveyed information. Please refer to the following
table for the data used to calculate the groundwater flow direction and gradient.
20-3978-03.CHEV / ST02RI I I Page 12 of 18
Copyright 2002, Kleinfelder, Inc.
