k" KLEINFELDER
complete Phase I Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) be completed to evaluate the possibility of
other on-site and off-site sources of the groundwater contamination.
The drilling returns (soil only) have been shown to be below laboratory detection limits of any of
the constituents analyzed for in this investigation and therefore can be spread out on unimproved
portions of the site following approval by Ms. Lori Duncan of the San Joaquin County PHS/EHD to
do so.
The rinseate water from the drilling operations and purge water collected from the monitoring
activities of monitoring wells MW -1 and MW -2 is potentially contaminated and should be disposed
of at an approved facility. Kleinfelder can aid the either Tradeway Chevrolet or AKF Development
to accomplish this task at an additional cost. It should be noted that rinseate water and purge water
collected from monitoring well MW -3 has shown no detectable concentrations above the laboratory
detection limits and therefore can be dispersed to unimproved portions of the site, following
approval from the PHS/EHD.
The groundwater monitoring wells should continue to be monitored in a uniform manner to
establish background groundwater quality parameters. Kleinfelder recommends a quarterly
schedule.
For further information regarding Kleinfelder's conclusions and recommendations please see the
following report.
