Preliminary Site Assessment Work Plan <br /> TRADEWAY CHEVROLET <br /> 1460 East Yosemite Avene, Manteca, California <br /> 1.0. INTRODUCTION <br /> This Work Plan has been prepared to procure applicable permits required by the San Joaquin County <br /> Public Health Services - Environmental Health Division (PHS-EHD) for soil and ground water <br /> assessment at Tradeway Chevrolet located at 1460 East Yosemite Avenue, Manteca, <br /> California(Figure 1). This Work Plan provides a description of the scope and procedure to be used <br /> in soil probe boring, soil and ground water sample collection and analysis, and soil boring <br /> abandonment. <br /> The purpose of this investigation is to assess the potential presence of petroleum hydrocarbon <br /> compound impacts to soil and/or ground water related to current and former site operations. Areas <br /> of potential environmental concern to be investigated included in-ground hydraulic lifts, an <br /> abandoned hydraulic lift,a former gasoline underground storage tank(UST)location, a former waste <br /> oil UST location, and select locations of surficial petroleum hydrocarbon staining. former waste oil <br /> above ground storage tank(AST) location. <br /> 2.0. SCOPE OF WORK <br /> Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc. (AGE) proposes to collect soil and grab ground water samples <br /> to assess the potential presence of subsurface petroleum hydrocarbon impacts for areas of potential <br /> environmental concern at the site. The investigation will consist of the following tasks: <br /> • Permitting and pre-field work activities; <br /> • Soil sample collection and analysis; <br /> • Ground water sample collection and analysis; and <br /> • Report preparation. <br /> 2.1. PERMITTING AND PRE-FIELD WORK ACTIVITIES <br /> Applicable site assessment permits will be obtained from the PHS-EHD. Additional PHS-EHD <br /> requirements include preparation and submittal of this Work Plan and a Site-Specific Health and <br /> Safety Plan(Appendix A). Prior to mobilization, each soil probe location will be clearly marked and <br /> arj utility clearance obtained through Underground Service Alert.
