13 May 1999
AGE-NC Project No. 99-0557
former UST locations borings will be analyzed.
Laboratory reports for soil analyses, testing methods, laboratory quality assurance/quality control
(QA/QC) reports, and sample chain of custody documentation will be presented in a report with
findings and recommendations.
2.3. GROUND WATER SAMPLE COLLECTION AND ANALYSIS
During the soil assessment activities, a total of three ground water samples will be collected at the
site. Ground water samples will be collected from two of the hydraulic lift location soil borings.
Additionally, one ground water sample will be collected from the soil boring advanced at the former
gasoline UST location. The depth to ground water in the area is approximate 15 to 20 feet bsg.
Ground water sample collection procedures are presented in Section 3.3.
Selected groundwater samples will be analyzed by a DHS-certified laboratory for the following
constituents:
• TPH by EPA Method 8015 Modified/5030;
• BTEX by EPA Method 8020; and
• Fuel oxygenating compound MTBE by EPA Method 8020.
MTBE analysis will only be performed for the ground water sample collected at the former gasoline
UST location.
Laboratory reports for ground water analyses, testing methods, laboratory quality assurance/quality
control (QA/QC)reports, and sample chain of custody documentation will be presented in a report
with the findings and recommendations.
2.4. REPORT PREPARATION
Upon completion of field work and receipt of final laboratory analysis, a report will be prepared
presenting the findings of the investigation. The report will include a description of the work
performed and results of the sampling and analysis. Conclusions and applicable recommendations
will be included in the report. The report will be reviewed and signed by a California Registered
Geologist prior to submittal to the PHS-EHD.
Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc.
